She sighed, kicking the dirt. “Yeah.. We were dating.. But we had our differences and we split.” 

          I shoved a picture of my brother and I into my backpack. That was the last of it.I glanced around my room at Titan’s Tower one final time . It was hard to believe I was leaving this place.. 4 months seemed like so much longer than it actually was.. I’d changed since I joined the Titans. I’d told Robin two weeks ago I was leaving. He didn’t understand why at first, but I told him that there as no way I could do my best and be all I could be as a hero here, and pretend like seeing the person who used to be my everything every day didn’t kill me a little more each time. He understood, and wished me well. I’d said my goodbyes to Robin, Raven, Cyborg, and Starfire. Starfire was really sad, but I promised to keep in touch with her. Raven understood, and als wished me well. Cy simply sighed, and nodded. He fist bumped me, hugged me, and said “Take it easy, blondie.”
I didn’t have the guts to say goodbye to Beastboy, though.. I couldn’t face him. I slung my backpack over my shoulder, picked up the shoe box off my bed, and picked up my guitar before taking one final look at my room. So many memories here..I glanced down into the box:Beastboy’s hoodie, framed pictures of us, a song I’d written him a month ago, and… The necklace that once adorned my neck. For our one month anniversary, I’d gotten us matching necklaces.Mine said “BB”, his said “Lexi.”I glanced away from the box and stared at my blank, mauve colored walls..  I forced myself to look away, and walked out. I walked down the hall, and passed Beastboy’s room.. I set the box by his door, knocked three times, and continued down the hall. My breath caught in my throat when I heard him open the door. 
”..Lexi!” He called out. I gasped aloud. I turned to face him. His face went blank. I bit my lip.. How was it that 4 weeks ago, I would’ve run up to him and hugged and kissed him, and now we stood 7 feet apart, speechless..? 
“I…Be safe, okay?” He managed weakly.
I opened my mouth to say something, anything. But nothing came out.I nodded, and after a moment, I said “You too…”
I quickly turned and walked down the hall. I heard him pick up the box and walk back into his room.  I heard the door close, and it took all I had not to break down in the middle of the hall.. I stepped forward, and made myself keep walking. 

I made it to the living room, where Robin, Cy, Star, and Raven all stood. They stood in front of a cake that said “Good Luck, Lucid. We’ll Miss You.”
“What’s this?” I said dumbly, quickly wiping the tears from my eyes.
“This is us wishing you well, and hoping you do all you can to be the best hero you can be..” Robin announced. I smiled, and hugged him.
“Thanks guys.. I appreciate this so much..” I smiled. My heart felt like lead, and I could feel it in my stomach. I forced down half a piece of cake and hugged them all one more time before standing by the door.I pulled my Titan’s Communicator out of my pocket and handed it to Robin.
“No..Keep it. You’ll always be a Titan.” He said, smiling a bit. I smiled and nodded.  I was really really going to miss these guys…
“Yes, Sir.” I said, forcing a laugh. He patted my shoulder and said “Keep in touch, Lucid.” I nodded again. I hugged the other Titans one more time, before glancing towards the hall that led to BB’s room.

“You know he wishes you well..” Cy said. “He just doesn’t want to make it any harder on you than it already is. I nodded, a lump forming in my throat. I forced back tears. I smiled , waved, and walked out the front door of the Tower, carrying my backpack and guitar.
I flew up, and across the water.

Later that evening, I sat on the bridge, facing the Tower. Saying goodbye was hard, but I knew I had to do this.. I stood up, and started walking in the direction of Gotham as the sun set over Jump City…

“…I’m not talking about it.”
